WHISTLER EATERIES
Fine Dining & All the Other Guys
Eating is my specialty! What is great about the restaurants in Whistler
is that there are very few places i wouldn't eat because people put
a lot of passion into their cooking in this town. If you want a high
end meal then you are in luck because all of the high end restaurants
are worth going to. Really, it's up to your taste buds. Araxi, La
Rua, Quattro, Bearfoot, Hy's and Bert's will all give you excellent
service with a personal touch. I really like The South Side Diner
for breakfast. Afternoon snacks have to go to Elements and The Mix.
Citta's & Merlin's for Nachos & Beer. I've never had bad sushi
anywhere in Whistler, but Sachi, Sushi Village and Sushi To Go seem
to be where I frequent. I hate to name restaurants because there are
so many great ones here. Suffice to say, if you tell your concierge
what you're craving, you should follow their recommendation!

Chef Melissa's cooking is unrivalled. The best and most decadent dishes
are available with the craziest wines. All that offered with casual
friendly service. Melissa's five course tasting menu with the sommelier's
wine pairing is the best meal option. Designed to accentuate each
other's flavour; there's no better meal. -

BREAKFAST SPOTS
Wildwood
We suggest going to The Wildwood! Why? Because the
service is great and they offer fresh hand cut par-boiled potatoes
pan finished, not pre-frozen and deep fried like at Amsterdam. Although
Amsterdam is a great location located in the heart of the village
great for people watching, the price/value/quality component cannot
even compete with Wildwood. We love the Eggs Benedict and banana bread
French toast! The portions are massive, if you prefer to eat a lighter
breakfast, try the yogurt with granola and fruit or share the bennies;
it's plenty for two! Breakfast..if you're hung over gotta be the Wildwood.

The South Side Diner
Another breakfast cafe favorite is The Southside Diner located across from
the Husky Gas Station in Creekside. The establishment was built in the late
80's and is essentially a landmark in Whistler. If you're looking for the best
place to go, especially after a great night out, this is it. Because of its
popularity and renown as the local's breakfast place, expect a small wait for
your breakfast during the weekends! The brie-cheese stuffed French toast with
REAL Canadian Maple syrup is worth the wait! Join the locals in a delicious
breakfast and enjoy the decor featuring pictures from the glory days.
Or looking to just grab a coffee?
My fave place to have cofee with friends would be Behind the Grind on a sunny
day. Rainy days would go to 2cup or starbucks (the old Roots location).
LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES
Need to satisfy late night munchies after a great night out? Here
are a few places open till the wee hours of the morning:
Zog's
For late night eating I find there's nothing more tempting
than a Zogs Poutine. There's a reason why you only order these when
you've had one to many, cheese curds, gravy and french fries. Snap!
A true heart stopper.
